Mr. Mahoney’s career includes extensive C-suite and board-level leadership within major institutions across insurance and professional services. He dedicated 24 years to Marsh & McLennan in roles that spanned global sales and marketing leadership, industry-vertical strategy, and enterprise risk management. As CEO of the Americas, he oversaw a $2.4 billion operation and guided more than 16,400 employees through large-scale initiatives designed to drive sustainable results and strengthen client outcomes.
Before joining First Sight Group, Mr. Mahoney was managing partner at Grantchester Group in Greenwich, CT, where he led capital formation and private equity efforts that enabled acquisitions in the healthcare and insurance markets and supported the launch of Orion General. His academic background includes an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with emphasis in finance and marketing, and undergraduate studies in economics and finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Committed to giving back, he serves on the board of the Ronald McDonald House of New York and contributes locally as a youth sports coach in Chicago hockey and lacrosse leagues.
